Favorite Post-Workout Protein Smoothies!

Who else is on a bit of a health kick this year? I feel like it is pretty common, post holiday, everyone wants to trim down and eat healthier. I definitely do.

So today I am sharing my favorite protein smoothies! I normally make these post-workout to help my body recover.  You could also have it as a breakfast replacement. Super quick and easy! Either way, I find these keep me feeling full for a few hours!

 

Green Smoothie

  • 1 scoop Vega One All-In-One Shake (flavor I am currently using is coconut Almond, but Vanilla works well too).
  • handful of spinach (could switch out spinach for Kale)
  • 1/2 green apple (chopped up – you could also do pear instead apple)
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed fruit (pineapple/mango/strawberries/peaches)
  • 1 fresh banana
  • add a bit of water for blending

Orange Smoothie

  • 1 scoop Vega One All-In-One Shake in Coconut Almond
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 mandarin orange (could use navel, or any other kind of orange you have on hand!)

Berry Smoothie

  • 1 scoop vegan Vanilla protein
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries/raspberries/blackberries/strawberries)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt (optional)
  • add a bit of water for blending

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie (my kids fav)

  • 1 scoop vegan chocolate protein (could use vanilla protein powder instead!)
  • 1-2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • add a touch of water or ice for blending

And that’s it!! These are super easy to make and most ingredients you have on hand, and if not, you can always substitute with other similar ingredients!
